Join the dark side of internet music revolution

afmusic began parallel to one of germany's most popular scene-netradios and as a label really got off to a lightning start in 2008. From honorary newcomer-management to a professional business, that uses the possibilities of the world wide web for bands and fans.

afmusic is germany's most innovative label for dark wave, independent and gothic and within germany unique in this field.

But borders don't matter to afmusic anyway: afmusic boosts bands all over the world and interprets their part in the music business as a connection between musicians and their audience completely new. afmusic distributes music for real and digitally, supports bands with PR and management and fans are given a choice: you can listen to the records for free on www.af-music.de, download them in top-quality at a bargain price or buy "real" cds.

afmusic is proud about its more than 40 publications of around 30 bands and more than 300.000 downloads (and counting). Rising trend continues. The first aims are achieved: promising newcomers have an ideal platform and their fand a fair choice. the next goals are clear: More Records! More Bands! More Fans!

Still it's difficult to find the right stamp for the band all:my:faults. And as you can hear on the new album, steve:kiai's still able to arrange dark soundwaves and feelings with classical & modern Rocksounds. The press wrote about a band going new musical ways, but it seem's they've ignored the fact that this is nothing but the typical underground. With releases that solely by the content and less by the outer appearance reached a big audience worldwide. As a second vocalist & writer...

After the great international success of their album "For Tomorrow" (2008), the solo-albums of guitarist Daniel Jönsson (Danish Daycare "A Story Of Hurt" 2009) and Singer Tobias Borelius ("Du känner mig för väl, farväl" 2010) EMERALD PARK from Mälmö announce their comeback with the download-single "Reality Bites / Someone To Love" in a spectacular way. "Here, at the beginning of the end..." ...these first words are representative for the upcoming release which will be an only-online-album. The conscious break with conventional "music marketing strategies", going own ways and the return to what distinguished this kind of music for many decades these are the bands intensions. Acting in the underground, winning fans all over the world, just with the music. Still its hard for some people to find a genre a:m:f would fit into,...

There are currently many dark, melodic rock albums that are mixing the melancholy pathos of the gothic rock with the hard drive of the metal. But a few are able to unite music class, versatility and charisma in order to lift out of the mass. The Aachen Band Thora is a stroke of luck and was often referred as the 'Gothic Metal discovery of the year' by the press with good reason. And even on their current album "Baby No.666" Thora convince mit powerful melodies, versatile song...

Urban Requiems (Extended) is the digital re-release of the originally 2007 released EP, containing now 4 re-recordings from Offering and 4 new songs. Unique in the style in Fortaleza, the Plastique Noir (black plastic, in french) embraces the name of the bag used to store dead bodies in morgues. The music, gloomy but pleasant to dance, involves bodies and minds carrying them to an intensive experience with their english-written lyrics which evocates the myths and facts of horror, morbidness,...

The Swedish band The Search wraps catchy pop melodies into a gloomy cloak, creating escaping the daily grey routines. When the press is talking about The Search, they speak of a beautiful retro-mix of wave and rock in the vein of The Cure and Joy Division. Sometimes it seems like you stand alone with a vision in your life. And sometimes two have the same without knowing each other. In case of afmusic and Zorch Factory Records it is the promotion of talented newcomer bands basically from the Gothic-, Post-Punk and New Wave genre. The more both got to know and estimate each other the clearer it became a logical consequence to work together. The consequence of this collaboration is the now available compilation 'Howly Night', which is much...

This remastered CD contains 2 mini-albums that The Search recorded in 2004 and which have never been officially released until now. The 80's postpunk and British indie music slowly but steadily make a comeback. Bands like Interpol, Radio 4, Astral and The Stills use the musical heritage of the 80's in a refreshing way in their modern alternative music. References to The Smiths, Suicide, Joy Division and The Cure are hip again. Now we have something hot again with The Search. Sweden's newest...

Four guys from the capital of Germany crossing the republic. For three voices, melody, shouting and bad-ass guitars are the frame those four create their dreams of. You have to live music for approaching things as Shearer do. Genius and madness coupled with megalomania, which is entitled such as for hardly any other band. The audience will expect a big rock album with 'Eve', but it also gives the necessary breaks for breathing, independent, catchy and diverse. The limited EP 'Adam' improves...

Eine Mischung aus Johnny Cash und Lestat aus "Chroniken der Vampire" und somit eine völlig neue individuelle Dimension der Musik, die direkt unter die Haut geht, um in dem Blut das Herz des Menschen zu ergreifen. Melancholic and fragile pop songs which can explode already at the next moment with all their strength, carrying Trip-Hop as well as World Music influence in themselves, enriched by classical arrangements and jazz-influenced experiments... a categorisation of Botany Bay is none too easy However, maybe a categorisation is also not so important at all - importantly it is for Stephan Kleinert (instruments, voc) and Laura Dietrich (voc, key) before all things, to produce emotional and atmospheric...

During the years of musical activity Moonling Io and his Spinefishers have grown very experienced and sophisticated in making music and performing it on stage. Extravagant, passionate music… And obviously beautiful.

Vrill is the deepest energy inside the nature. This power can breath through the music. While the dark bass is dogging, acoustic and indie guitars run after paranoid synths and deep keyboards. Poetic readings (Keats - Wilde - Blake) give colour to the lyrics while "The Wicker Man" is sending his alarm to the people. www.noctiflora.net

Where do the musical lines of "The Glass Spider" infuse themselves? In the cut amount from rock, punk and Gothic stands a small space in which "The Glass Spider" finds enough place to spread out, and even crossing over and over again new borders. To say, "The Glass Spider" is rock, is too easy - to say, it's punk, absolutely wrong. And to state, it could be Gothic, a dead end. Four dimensions, four parts of the world, four seasons and four novel tracks from Russian quartet S’UR – that’s their new CD Quadro. This is the first record with new outer space frontwomen and violinist Kristina K. During the record sessions the bands newest instrumental arsenal was used. Combined with strictly laboratory methods the four tracks on Russian and pure music language were born. CD was expanded with one remix by hardcore techno project Lethal Beat. So S’UR propose you take...

The album title "Crossing the Rubicon" is a metaphor for deliberately passing a point of no return, especially when a business of risky consequences is at stake. This portrays precisely where NOTES FROM UNDERGROUND stand at present. The journey has began — only victory awaits to be fought for, at the other end of the Rubicon river. Also on their third CD Stromble Fix continue the insane journey through Punk, Grunge, Deathrock and Psychedelic to the abysses of the human soul. The musical spectrum as well as the instrumentation were extended once more. The Wipers and Killing Joke, but also John Lennon and Pink Floyd are the spiritual grandfathers of this band and its three protagonists, besides, still have the old hardcore punk flowing through their veins.Accordingly the recording was held raw in full intention and only...

The debut album of the band SMOKE FISH has quite a lot in common with the trips around the world made by the lead singer Shay: a lot to discover as well as to experience. Not only the journey is the reward. It is moreover a journey leading along glorious places and fabulous sights. Shay’s journey had begun in his home country Israel and ended, after numerous stations, in the Breton seaport where he decided to dwell and founded the band. “Life Ain’t Pink” starts with a vortex of sound of...

The new album title by The Glass Spider sounds a lot more conciliatory than his predecessor. After the album "Resistance" from the year 2008, that is a call to resistance, it is now called "For Better or for Worse". Someone seems to be done with the resistance and found his inner peace. Sounds as if it would be more harmoniously and maybe a little bit more relaxed now. Whoever will listen to the new album, will quickly recognize that although a certain lightness has entered...

Long enough Aeon Sable have waited for the star to shine. The debut from the german duo is entitled „Per aspera ad astra“ and delivers a very individual interpretation of Goth-Rock. Din-Tah Aeon and n1n0, already enriching the ‘dark side of music’ with other projects in the past, are now on the road with a self-produced, 40 minutes-set, tied on the atmosphere of Fields of the Nephilim or The Sisters of Mercy, revamping it into a modern style. The album not only shines with unique sound...

Defekt 86 play a cheeky mixture of Darkwave and Post-punk. Their music varies from heavy guitars up to rather experimental synthetic sounds; the tempi are versatile designed as well, and also the vocals, which oscillates between melancholy and aggression. Reminiscences of more "conventional" bands are unfailable to hear. Thus one feels reminded of Joy Division or Sisters of Mercy with the dark Opener "Idols for the weak" without fail, latter also crosses mind in "A...

'Danish Daycare' is the solo project by Daniel Jonsson from Malmo, who has achieved quite a lot during his musical career besides being a solo performer. Between 2001-2005 Daniel played Keyboards for 'Eyedrop', a group originating from Malmo. In 2002 the first album "You And Me Vs. The Machine" was released and Eyedrop made themselves quite well known in southern Sweden. Unfortunately the band split up in 2005 and the members drifted apart. At that time Daniel already had some new...

Cold breath against the window. I took the drops in my hands, let them dance for a while and give them away for tomorrow. Look out of the drops grew wondrous pictures, jumped thousands of paintings, were multiple forms. Everything silent became mirthful, but is hiding from the eyes, walked outside but nobody finds it, is rised in the heart.

So a mix of alternative and indie came up, which is refreshing far away from the mainstream - containing strange melodies and exceptionally sounding vocal parts. Inspired by life in their homeland, the smell of railway stations, old factories and pristine nature. On Wave...

The project’s primary scope is to give contents that fit musically into the member’s stylistic background (from dark to rock, metal and glam), and conceptually to thematics related to the initial band name.In fact, the “Dea Bianca” (White Goddess) is the name of a fundamental test by the english poet and novelist Robert Graves, who represents a concept of hidden spiritualiy, of...

In Dust: 2000 – 2003 is a compilation album existing of 11 tracks Dutch musician Paul Tetteroo recorded under project name Reptile71 over a period of three years. Though Reptile71 was clearly influenced by early 80’s new wave, minimal synth and post-punk bands such as Joy Division, New Order, The Cure, Cocteau Twins, Depeche Mode, (early) OMD, Talk Talk, (early) Simple Minds and The Wake (UK), and the more spiritual music like Dead Can Dance, he still managed to create a unique sound.
